Challenge students to expand their view of the issue or problem by making sure their diagram includes 1) natural science factors, 2) socioeconomic & cultural factors, and 3) policy factors. Among other things, this encourages them to do a more comprehensive review of the literature and exposes them to the complexity of environmental issues.
Kendra has added some more elements to her diagram, but she’s not really sure where to go from here. The diagram is beginning to look cluttered, and she’s more confused than when she started. |
