About the Elephant Seal Radio Cam:
The Año Nuevo Elephant Seal Radio Camera System was designed and constructed by Jotham Fisher-Smith for a National Science Foundation funded research project at CSU Monterey Bay. This wireless, solar powered camera and weather station has been in continuous operation since April 1999. Images are saved every 10 minutes of every day for research and educational purposes. The Año Nuevo Elephant Seal Radio Cam image archive currently contains over 120,000 images. The image archive is provided as free resource for educational and research purposes.
